In the peer led Research Assessment Exercise 2008 (RAE 2008), the University was judged to be in the top research unit in the UK for rehabilitative health sciences and in the top 10 for allied health professions. Our research in the Built and Natural Environment is in the top 20 universities in the UK and GCU is the leading university in Scotland for research on sustainable urban environments and building design as well as the field of waste management and recycling.
