Howden

Headquartered in Scotland, with companies in 16 countries and nearly 3,500 staff, Howden is a truly global engineering giant.

A partnership between the School of Engineering & Computing at GCU and Howden has seen 100 postgraduate engineers travel from 16 different countries to complete a specialist operational training course and graduate from the Howden Academy, which utilises the world-class learning facilities of Glasgow Caledonian University.

Company managers have confirmed that the academy has reduced the time it takes to turn new graduate engineers into effective employees and will allow them to maximise and share existing company knowledge and expertise with colleagues in countries such as China, Russia, India, South Africa, Germany France and the USA as well as in the UK
