Developed by leading UK academics, this course is aimed at delivering a range of project management skills laid down by prestigious professional bodies.
Major multinational and overseas projects require professionals with multi-faceted skills who can operate in a variety of cultural and socio-economic settings around the world.
This one year course provides a wealth of skills development in the areas of project management, development and project economics, construction management, risk and value management, and international project finance. 
The course is accredited by three leading professional bodies: the Association for Project Management (APM); the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). It is highly relevant for those wishing to pursue a career in construction project management internationally. Indeed, a recent collaboration with Hill International has confirmed the course modular structure as being a suitable learning experience for international construction project managers.

Prospects
The construction industry has become increasingly global and there has been significant growth in recent years in both international and multinational collaborations around the world. These projects require highly skilled professionals who are capable of taking up challenging roles in a range of specialist areas.
The course allows students to widen their opportunities within the employment market, as masters graduates are more likely to attract the higher end of graduate starting salaries. It also provides an ideal platform for graduates with an excellent  first degree in an non-cognate discipline who are considering a career in project management.
The accreditation of the course will also allow successful MSc graduates to progress directly to the assessment of professional competence in their chosen career path.
Course structure
The course covers core skills in project management, development and project economics, construction management, risk and value management, construction economics and procurement,   and international project finance. All masters students will also undertake a dissertation.
Entry Requirements
The programme is designed to accept honours degree graduates, with a 2:2 award and above, or equivalent in a cognate discipline. Non-cognate honours degree graduates with a 2:1 award and above will be accepted. It is highly recommended that applicants should have at least one year of previous work experience in the construction industry or in a people/logistics management role. 
Candidates without formal degree level qualifications may be accepted on to the programme subject to significant relevant industry experience and discussions with the admissions tutor.
English Language
For both the Master’s Degree and Postgraduate Diplomas, candidates whose normal medium of education and work has not been English, will normally be required to present evidence of competence in English as demonstrated by a pass at IELTS level 6 (with no element less than 5.5) or TOEFL 550 (80 internet-based test).
Pre-sessional English
For international students who do not meet the minimum English language requirements for direct entry to the postgraduate programmes available at GCU London, we offer English language courses to help you improve your English language skills. View - Pre-sessional English at GCU London.
