GCU London is offering a range of scholarships to support you in your studies funded by industry, Trusts and friends of the University. Scholarships may cover fees, and/or provide a maintenance grant to support you during your studies.
Eligibility & Requirements
For every scholarship, you MUST have submitted an application for a place on a programme at GCU London. If you have not done this your scholarship application will not be considered.
In addition to meeting the academic requirements that each programme demands, each Scholarship has different eligibility criteria, some being programme specific or depend on the country where you are normally resident. Please read the eligibility criteria below carefully and only apply for suitable scholarships.
Recipients of scholarships may be expected to undertake certain conditions requested by the funder such as meetings with the donor and/or submitting a report on your experience as a scholar.

For all MSc and MBA Courses
GCU is part of the Santander Universities' Network of more than 700 universities in Spain, Portugal, Latin-America, China, Morocco, Russia, the US and the UK. As part of this agreement, GCU London is offering scholarships for GCU London programmes funded by Santander Bank and the Santander Universities Network.
Value: £5,000 towards fees
- You must have submitted an application for a place on a GCU London programme
- You MUST be from one of the following countries:
- Belgium, Brazil
- Chile, China, Columbia
- Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico
- Singapore, Spain
- Uruguay and USA
No other nationalities will be considered

Marks and Spencer in conjunction with GCU London are offering full fee scholarships for the below courses;

25% scholarships are available for self-funded students who meet the full admissions criteria. Scholarship offers will be made based on information available from your MBA programme application form. No additional application form is required.

GCU Alumni Fee Discount
A discount of 20% off taught or research postgraduate programmes is available to students starting in 2014/15 who have received their undergraduate or postgraduate taught or research degree qualification from GCU (or one of our founding institutions).
Discounts of 20% apply to the privately funded part of the course fee for every year of study.
How to apply
Simply mention you are a GCU graduate when applying for your course and the discount will be deducted (after any third party funding has been deducted). The fee applies to taught/research masters programmes and PhD programmes both full-time and part-time.
- CPD and short courses are not eligible for this discount
- Where a student is eligible for both an Alumni Fee Discount and another Scholarship, the highest discount applies
- Discounts cannot be backdated
English Language Achievement Scholarship
For all MSc and MBA courses at GCU London
Students who complete a GCU London Pre-sessional English course and progress onto their chosen GCU London Masters/ MBA programme by meeting both the minimum English language requirement and all other conditions of their GCU London offer, will receive an English Language Achievement Scholarship.
Value: £1,000 discount on your fees
- You must have been offered a place on a programme at GCU London
- You must have completed a GCU London Pre-sessional English course
- You must be starting your programme in September 2014
- This scholarship is only available to self-funded students. You are deemed to be a self-funded student if you are paying your tuition fees yourself or with support from a relative or friend.
Please note: A Deans Merit Based Scholarship and an English Language Achievement Scholarship and international student scholarship, if all 3 awarded, can be combined. However this will be capped at £2500.
Please note: an applicant can only apply for one level of support (scholarship or scheme) at any one time. Awards are not additive. If an applicant is eligible for 2 awards, only the larger award will be given. Also, no scholarships will be offered to students who are already sponsored except as part of our Corporate Sponsorship scheme.
Guaranteed £1,000 Scholarship
A £1,000 scholarship is available to all self-funded overseas students for every year of their study.
Merit-based country Scholarships
In addition to a guranteed £1,000 scholarship for self-funded overseas students, a further scholarship of up to £1,000 may be available for self-funded students from the following countries.
The scholarships only apply to those studying full-time undergraduate degree or postgraduate taught masters programmes (excludes ACCA, CIMA etc).
The award will only apply to the first year of study and not to any subsequent years.

•These scholarships are administered as fee reductions for overseas students and are awarded at the application stage when an offer of a place is made.

No appeals on scholarship decisions (UG and PG) based on borderline marks are permitted.
