Spitalfields market

As you will soon come to discover, GCU London is set in one of the brightest and most vibrant parts of London; the very trendy East End, more specifically, in Spitalfields.

Originally a trade outpost on the outskirts of London, Spitalfields today continues this tradition with the ever and increasingly popular Spitalfields market. Open seven days a week, up to 110 stalls offer a wide range of wares as Spitalfields Traders, in addition to a host of independent stores and big name restaurants.

Spitalfields also has a big art gathering with regular Art Markets where you can buy affordable art from established and up-and-coming artists.

Less than 50 yards from campus is Brick Lane, home of a huge array of curry restaurants and the famous Brick Lane Market.

On the same street is the site of the Old Truman Brewery, a former brewery which had been redeveloped and hosts markets, shops, bars and nightclubs, and restaurants within it's 10 acres, and includes Rough Trade - a record shop and local live music venue.
