Any student registered on a course of study at GCU London. Students can contact the Counsellor for support for many different reasons. However the most common issues are academic stress, anxiety, homesickness and culture shock; relationship issues, self confidence and low mood.
The service provides support in a number of ways; offering short-term individual counselling sessions; running workshops and therapeutic groups; holding wellbeing events and activities throughout the academic year and signposting students to self help materials.
You can request an appointment by emailing counselling@westminster.ac.uk or by calling 0207 911 5000 (extension 66899). Opening times are 9:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
GCU London has an arrangement with The University of Westminster Student Counselling Service to provide confidential counselling for its students. Counselling support is based at The Luxborough Suite, Marylebone Site, University of Westminster, 35 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5LS. The nearest tube is Baker Street and is easily accessible by taking either the Hammersmith & City, Circle, or Metropolitan line from Liverpool Street Station.
At the intake appointment, you will meet with the student counsellor for approx 30mins discuss your issues and support options which may include counselling.
