Federica Apice, a graduate of MSc International Fashion Marketing at GCU London. Read on for a Q&A on her experience of studying at GCU London and her successful career since her graduation. Federica works now for the famous brand, Michael Kors as a Press Office Assistant.

“I was looking for a postgraduate course offering a wide insight of fashion marketing aspects and I found out about the Msc International Fashion Marketing at GCU London. I really liked the idea of living in a vibrant city such as London and, most of all, I liked the idea of studying in a campus where you are not just a “matriculation number” among many other students, but a valuable person.”

“Being an international student in a new city, studying in a different language might be scary, but since the first day I have always felt as if I was in a big family! Clearly it wasn't a piece of cake, the course required a lot of hard work and challenges as well, but I believe the time spent at GCU helped me a lot to develop my skills and knowledge for my career.

As a GCU student I had the opportunity to attend seminars with relevant people from the industry and benefit from GCU lecturers.”

“Right after my graduation I worked for a fashion show organiser, who gave me the opportunity to travel and put my knowledge into practice. I started as intern and then I worked as event assistant for fashion shows in Paris, New York and Spain. Currently, I am working for Michael Kors’ press office in Milan, where I live.“

“Not only has GCU London helped me in clarifying my aims and career path, but it has also helped me developing skills in leadership, stress and time management that are pivotal for my job. Last but not least, at GCU I had the chance to meet and work with amazing people from different cultures, it made me open my mind!”

“If I could offer one piece of advice to GCU future students it would be: enjoy every single moment spent in there, don’t be afraid to ask if you have any problems because the campus is very welcoming and plenty of helpful and experienced people, but most of all, benefit from lecturers’ experience and from other classmates. GCU London can be the beginning of a great journey.”
